Pin list description guidelines for the QUIET Electronics Box Modules Mircea Bogdan 5/12/05 1. For each module in the QUIET Electronics Box (QEB), the P1/P2 pin lists/tables shall include: 1.1. Name of module. 1.2. Number of such modules in QEB. 1.3. Preferred position (slot number) in QEB, if any. 1.4. Two listings (one for P1 and one for P2) with all the pins included. Pins that are not used and not connected shall be noted as such. 2. The information for each pin shall include: 2.1. Pin Number (as specified in the module design guidelines) and Pin Name. 2.2. Type of signal: analog/digital, power, etc. 2.2.1. If digital: level (LVDS, TTL, PECL, etc.) and frequency. 2.2.2. If analog: excursion, frequency, approx. input/output impedance. 2.2.3. If power: value, analog/digital, galvanic isolated (floating) or not, ripple, etc. - all the specs required to choose the respective power supply. 2.3. Where the signal is coming from/going to; if not known yet, put:"TBD". 2.3.1. If input: what generates the signal and what leads the signal to module (flex, backplane, wires, etc.). 2.3.2. If output: what is the final destination and what leads the signal there (flex, backplane, wires, etc.). 2.3.3. If power/ground: where is it coming from. E.g. from common backplane power/ground, from outside QEB power supply via wires direct to connectors or via wires and backplane traces, etc. 2.4.
